Daniel's first formal vocal performance for group of family and friends was at Del Terzo's Recital Studio in Carnegie hall in 1980. In the next several years, two more concerts followed at Carnegie's elegant Weill Recital Hall. (photo below) By the third concert Daniel was able to sing in English, Italian, French, Spanish and Russian. Selections ranged from classical to folk and popular.

Daniel's last two years in the AYR, he was assistant director. During
its last year, the company was renamed the American Theatrical Repertory
as the age group had moved up. ~Elliot
